SERVI DORYL JOINS THE UNITED NATIONS GLOBAL COMPACT !
Having been awarded the silver medal by Ecovadis for its CSR performance for the third consecutive year, Servi Doryl is proud to have joined the United Nations Global Compact alongside 14,000 other participants in 170 countries around the world.
What is the United Nations Global Compact ?
Launched in July 2000 by Kofi Annan, the Secretary of the United Nations, the United Nations Global Compact is a framework for voluntary commitments aimed at encouraging companies and organisations around the world to adopt socially responsible behaviour. Members will be asked to respect and promote 10 principles relating to human rights, international labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption.
Focus on the ten principles :
HUMAN RIGHTS
Principle 1 : Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights ; and
Principle 2 : make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.
LABOUR
Principle 3 : Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining ;
Principle 4 : the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour ;
Principle 5 : the effective abolition of child labour ; and
Principle 6 : the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.
ENVIRONMENT
Principle 7 : Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges ;
Principle 8 : undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility ; and
Principle 9 : encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
ANTI-CORRUPTION
Principle 10 : Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
Why did we join the United Nations Global Compact ?
Aujourd’hui et plus que jamais, les entreprises et organisations à but non lucratif ont un rôle majeur à jouer dans l’évolution et la construction de sociétés plus stables, inclusives et durables. De plus, les parties prenantes (salariés, fournisseurs, clients…) sont de plus en plus attentifs quant à leur exemplarité. C’est pourquoi, Servi Doryl a fait le choix de rejoindre, au printemps dernier, le pacte Mondial des Nations Unies.
En effet, l’entreprise avait la volonté de renforcer son engagement en faveur d’un développement responsable de son activité et cette adhésion vient concrétiser l’attachement profond quant aux valeurs universellement reconnues.
What are we committed to ?
By joining the Global Compact, Servi Doryl is first and foremost committed to integrating the 10 principles of the United Nations Global Compact into its structure and operations in a sustainable manner. The company is required to publish a regular report, called COP (Communication on Progress), to publicly report on its progress.

In addition, the company’s mission is to engage the highest level of its organisation in this CSR approach, by involving and mobilising all its stakeholders to the maximum extent possible. It will then be more than necessary to promote the ten principles within its sphere of influence and to act in favour of and to support the sustainable development objectives of the United Nations.
