Servi Doryl at the Foodtech trade fair in Denmark
Servi Doryl attended the Foodtech trade fair in Denmark, the Nordic region’s leading destination for food technology. This trade fair has been bringing together the entire food industry for 25 years.
A true barometer of the Nordic dairy sector, Foodtech devotes an entire pavilion to milk and milk derivatives. Dominated by the giant ARLA, this market is a strategic challenge for all players in the sector.

Scandinavia is a region where cheese consumption is particularly high. The Nordic countries are among the highest consumers of cheese in the world, alongside France. Scandinavians are particularly fond of hard cheeses, but also creamier cheeses and yoghurts. This high level of consumption can be explained by a long tradition of cheese-making and a culinary culture that incorporates cheese into many dishes.
Here are the types of cheese we found at the Foodtech trade fair:
- Pressed cheeses
- Blue-veined cheeses (such as Danablue, which is quite similar to Bleu d’Auvergne)
- Soft cheeses
- Scandinavian specialities
If you’re curious, Norwegian TINE is a tasty surprise for fans of original cheeses. This cheese, made by cooking whey and fresh cheese for a long time, develops unique caramelised aromas.
A special feature of the show is the competition for regional dairy products and cheeses. A unique opportunity to discover the best local products, presented for free tasting.
This year, Foodtech has invited us on a gustatory journey around yoghurt. From familiar flavours to the most surprising, including Northern European favourites such as Skyr, there’s something for everyone.
